Rev. Fr. Wisdom Larweh officially installed, Parish Priest of St. Peters Catholic Church, OSU

Installing a Pastor recognizes his specific responsibility to his parish rather than to other parishes he may be overseeing.

It was an attractive sight to behold as friends and parishioners of St. Peters Catholic Church, Osu united as one Christian body in support of Rev. Fr. Wisdom Larweh being installed as the parish priest of the church.

Very Rev. David Amissah, the Dean of Osu Deanery stood in as the main celebrant for The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev John Bonaventure Kwofie Cssp; also in attendance, Rev. Fr. Joseph Mensah, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel-Mary Ofori Srem and Rev. Bro. Stephen Domelevo,SVD .

Speaking at the function, Very Rev. Fr. David Amissah assured Rev. Fr. Wisdom Larweh of Archbishop Kwofie’s enormous support in his ministry as God’s chosen vessel called to reveal the glory of God in the church community.

Fr. Amissah spoke on the Revelation of John the Baptist which focused on the identity of Jesus in his mission; that Jesus is the chosen one of God, secondly, he is revealed in the glory of God; thirdly this will be accomplished through suffering, rejection and death. He urged all to reflect on their own identity and mission.

During the rites of installation, the signed Letter of Appointment by the Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie  CSSp was read by Rev. Fr. Joseph Mensah to all and sundry; this is to verify the authenticity of the appoint to all present. Fr. Wisdom placed his hand on the book of the gospels and recites the oath of fidelity

The pastor returns to his seat, a sign of his office while the clergy and senior members of the church community one after the order congratulated him. Meanwhile, Infinite blessings and good will messages were all over the social media to eulogize Rev. Fr. Wisdom Larweh as the day also marked his birthday. A specially designed cake was cut to crown the lovely celebration.
