The people of Wa, Most Rev. John Alphonse Asiedu, SVD, Most Rev. Joseph Afrifah-Agyekum and Most Rev. Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD, over hundred (100) Catholic Priests and religious, Students of St. Peter’s Senior High School, the bereaved family, and friends of the late Rev. Fr. Martin Kog Ninnang, SVD, came together on Thursday February 6, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Adoagyiri, Nsawam as they prayed for the repose of his soul.
The sudden death of the Late Fr. Martin Ninnang occurred on Friday17th January, 2020 at Holy Family Hospital, Nkawkaw. He was born at Jirapa in the Upper West Region of Ghana into a devoted catholic family. He died at age 47. Fr. Ninnang was Society of the Divine Word Missionary (SVD) confrere and the Assistant Headmaster Administration of St. Peter’s Senior High School, Nkwatia.
The late Fr. Martin was the District superior of the SVD Kwahu District and was known as a quiet and hardworking young man full of potentials. He was filled with a unique sense of humor and shared jokes in various gatherings. Wherever he worked he always had good relationship with people especially his confreres.
As a teacher, he insisted on discipline and academic excellence to his students. And as a young dynamic priest, he has served the Society of the Divine Word Missionary (SVD) with dedication and conviction. Fr. Martin Ninnang paid good attention to his religious commitment and missionary service to the society and the Catholic Church.
May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in Perfect Peace, Amen.
