Francis on All Saints’ Day: Each of us can be a saint

On the day that the Church celebrates All Saints the Pope said that holiness is within the reach of each person and that is why each saint is different.

They are not the same, each one has his own personality and has developed his holy life according to his personality. Each of us can do it, we can walk that path.

And speaking of sanctity of life, Francis recalled that in the United States the founder of the Knights of Columbus, Michael McGivney, had been beatified on Saturday.

His example impels us to bear witness to the Gospel of charity more and more. A round of applause to the new blessed!

At the end of the Angelus, the Pope recalled some of the recent tragedies for which he asked to pray.

Let us also pray for the population of the Aegean Sea area, which two days ago was shaken by a strong earthquake.

He also asked to continue praying for the crisis in Nagorno Karabakh, in the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He reminded the parties involved that “they will not resolve the controversy with violence” and asked the international community to help them in the peace negotiations.
