Fr. Patrick writes: Have a Lent Challenge

Day 4:

Lent is a season where we are invited by God to convert; yet sometimes we ask: How should we respond to the invitation to conversion? How can there be a serious change in our life? The answer is that we must open our hearts to the penetrating call that comes to us during the Liturgy, during our prayer time and when we read the Word of God ourselves. This season is a providential gift from the Lord and a precious opportunity to draw closer to Him, turning inward to listen to his promptings deep within. It is in this light that the church calls us to fast, pray and give alms.

I believe the power of fasting as it relates to prayer is the spiritual atomic bomb that our Lord has given us to destroy the strongholds of evil and usher in a great revival and spiritual harvest in us. This is why the devil will do everything in his power to discourage you to deflect from it. One way to help you continue on this journey is to have a Lent challenge. This could be by way of:
👍🏼doing more of the good you are already doing
