Report LGBTQI persons to law enforcement agencies, don’t take matters into your hands – House of Chiefs advises

The National House of Chiefs is urging all Ghanaians to refrain from causing harm to persons who identify as members of the LGBTQI community in the country.

In a press release signed by the President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II spoke against unlawful acts that include burning, lynching and molesting being meted out to LGBTQI persons.

Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II indicated that such persons should “be reported to the law enforcement agencies for necessary action.”
