Vatican adds communication expert to its list of advisers

Pope Francis appointed Professor Daniel Arasa as consultant to the Dicastery for Communication.

This 50-year-old Spanish journalist knows the Church’s institutional communication closely. He has been part of the communication team for several World Youth Days. And he is currently dean of the Faculty of Institutional Social Communication of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.

In addition, he is an associate professor of Digital and Strategic Communication at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. And he has written several books on political and social issues.

From now on he will have the responsibility of advising the Vatican’s communications in the Francis era.
