God has no recycled bin for sins-Fr. Sylvester Segbawu
Rev. Fr. Sylvester Julius Segbawu, the priest of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Sakumono, in a homily delivered on Tuesday feast of St. Ambrose, Bishop and Doctor of the Church, said to parishioners that God has no recycled bin for our sins because when he forgives us our sins, it is forever delated.
Fr. Sylvester asked all to love others “love keeps no record of wrongdoing. If love were to keep a record of wrongdoing, we would not see the son of God on the cross”, he added.
God comforts and grants us relief even in our sinful state so that we comfort those in trouble with the comfort we have received from God.
Fr. Sylvester Segbawu again said that in this period of advent, the Lord is telling us that no matter our state of wondering, frustration, and in the area of hopelessness, the Lord will comfort us.
