POPE FRANCIS CONFERRED TWO GHANAIANS INTO THE MINISTRY OF CATECHIST AND LECTORS RESPECTIVELY

Friends and loved ones have are still Congratulating Mrs Ellen Bosso, a faithful of Catholic Diocese of Ho from Peki, on her installation today as a Lector of the Church by Pope Francis.
She was installed together with Madam Cecilia Agyeman Anane, from the Kumasi Archdiocese, who was conferred into the Ministry of Catechists.
The two Ghanaian Women, were part eight (8) lay Catholics, comprising five men and three women from across the world, conferred into the new Ministry of Catechist and Lectors by the Holy Father during Mass on the Sunday of the Word of God – the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time, at the St. Peter’s Basilica.
This is the first time the Church is installing female catechists.
Pope Francis during the Mass presented Lectors with the Bible in their native languages and the Catechists with the Cross.
The two Ghanaians were selected upon the recommendations of their respective Bishops through the Chaplain of the Ghanaian Catholic Community in Rome.
