Laudamus Praise Festival 2026 raises support for Legacy of Hope Children’s Hospital and clean water project in Anyakpo

The Laudamus Praise Festival 2026, dubbed the “Tribe Wave Edition,” was successfully held on Sunday, 17th May 2026, at St. Bakhita Catholic Church, Community 20, Lashibi. The spirit-filled event attracted a large gathering of parishioners, priests, religious sisters, guests, the auxiliary bishop of Accra, Most Rev. Anthony Narh Asare, and youth from various parishes across the Archdiocese.

Organized under the theme, “Let Your Light Shine,” the festival sought to encourage Christians, especially the youth, to become positive examples in society by living according to the teachings of Christ. Beyond the spiritual celebration, the event also aimed at supporting the Legacy of Hope Children’s Hospital Project and the borehole project for the community of Anyakpo in Ada.

One of the major highlights of the festival was the powerful musical ministrations by renowned gospel ministers. Gospel musician Joe Mettle led an outstanding worship session that deeply touched the congregation, bringing moments of inspiration, spiritual renewal, and heartfelt worship.

Team Eternity also energized the audience with vibrant praise songs that encouraged participants to rejoice in the Lord and celebrate God’s goodness with joy and enthusiasm.

JP Nii Andy equally delivered an inspiring ministration centered on hope, faith, and trust in God. His performance moved many participants to reflection and joyful praise as the congregation joined in singing and dancing.

Adding excitement to the event, DJ Dela thrilled attendees with uplifting gospel mixes and dynamic praise sessions. His carefully selected music created an atmosphere of celebration, particularly among the youth, while maintaining the spiritual focus of the program.

Rev. Fr. Donatus Pallu delivered a brief exhortation on the theme, encouraging Christians, especially young people, to let their light shine for the glory of God. He reminded participants that Jesus Christ is the Light of the World and that those who follow Him will never walk in darkness. He further urged the youth to remain steadfast in faith and to rely on the guidance and support of their priests.

A message from Most Rev. Anthony Narh Asare, Bishop in charge of the Youth of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, congratulated the organizers and expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the program. He also advised the youth to use the internet and modern technology wisely by engaging in activities that strengthen their faith and promote positive relationships.

The organizers expressed profound gratitude to the Archbishop, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, and his Auxiliary Bishops, Most Rev. Anthony Narh Asare and Most Rev. John Louis, as well as Rev. Fr. Hillary Agbenosii, priests, religious, sponsors, volunteers, invited ministers, and church leaders whose support contributed immensely to the success of the event. Special appreciation was also extended to all attendees for their massive turnout and cooperation throughout the festival.

The Laudamus Praise Festival 2026 concluded successfully with prayers and thanksgiving. Participants left spiritually uplifted and inspired, while also contributing toward projects aimed at improving healthcare and providing a borehole for the people of Anyakpo in Ada.
