Accra Catholic Women donates to Centre of Hope.
The Catholic Women Organization of Accra, as part of their 110th World Union of Catholic Women’s Organization, WUCWO day celebration, donated items such as toiletries, rice, cooking oil, detergents, and many more to the Centre of Hope, Abossey Okai, Accra.
The Accra Archdiocese WUCWO day celebration took place at St. Paul Catholic Church, Kpehe focusing on the theme: “Let us care for the family in difficult times”.
Rev. Fr. Donatus Pallu giving his words of exaltation entreated mothers not to only care for their own family but others at all times.
Fr. Donatus employed mothers to be supportive, productive, bring their children together and care for them.
A citation was presented to Rev. Fr. Andrew Anumu Quaye Foli, SVD and some members of the Women organizations for their effort to make the organization well known in the Archdiocese.
The administrator of the Centre of Hope, Sr. Colette Mwaakpaar, expressed her gratitude for the love and support given to them by the Women of the Church.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Centre, Sr. Colette Mwaakpaar promised that the items would be of good purpose.
The WUCWO of Accra Catholic Archdiocese also organized fundraising to support Centre of Hope activities.
Centre of Hope is run by the Franciscan Sisters of Mary, located at Abossey Okai in Accra. The Centre takes care of children, elderly and physically challenged persons, and families in need who walk in to get assistance.
