Rev. Fr. Donatus Pallu spoke on the theme for the celebration, “Let us care for the family in difficult times”. He said the family should not only be cared for in difficult times but at every given time. Mothers and women he further said are created to become partners of men, therefore women should not sit at home and expect the man to handle everything in the home, that he said is failure.
“As a mother you are not supposed to be lazy, be a productive wife”, he said. He charged all mothers to train up their children in a manner that is pleasing in God’s eye. He then advised them to support their families with prayers while doing their house chores.
“Speak good words into your children’s lives and may God continue to be with all mothers, mall the sacrifices that we make for others never go unnoticed in the eyes of God”, he concluded.
Awards were later presented to deserving individuals for their dedication and hard work towards the growth of the Church and in the lives of women.
