The Catholic Bishops Conference (GCBC) on behalf of the Catholic Church in Ghana has issued a communiqué in “support of the draft Bill presented to Parliament to make homosexual practices illegal in Ghana”.
The statement signed by the president, Most Rev. Philip Naameh bemoans homosexuality calling it abominable and morally unacceptable.
The Catholic Church in Ghana has also demanded that their voice be heard for they “constitute a sizable percentage of the population, i.e., about 13.1 per cent of the population of Ghana.”
