Tamale: Six cops interdicted in shooting incidence at Lamashegu
The Police Administration has Interdicted six Police Officers involved in the shooting Incident at Lamashegu in Tamale.
A young man was shot dead while seven others also sustained various degrees of injuries following a clash between armed Police personnel and the youth in the area over the weekend.
Witnesses said the chaos started after a police patrol team allegedly shot and killed a young man driving a white Toyota corolla with a DV number plate who speed off after the police stopped him.
He is said to have died at the hospital after the bullet penetrated his stomach through the back glass of the vehicle.
The Police in a statement said following an initial investigation into the shooting incident it has interdicted the following Police officers involved.

The Police has also dispatched a team of investigators led by the Deputy Director-General of the CID, DCOP Mr Frederick Agyei to lead the investigation into the matter.
Personnel from the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) have also been detailed alongside the CID team to look at professional standard related issues of the incident.
The Northern Regional Police commander has been tasked to liaise with the affected families and offer them the necessary support in line with Police regulations.
The Police is appealing to the people of Lamashugu and the entire Tamale Metropolis to remain calm as the investigation continues into the unfortunate occurrence.
