Pope explains doctrine on the Holy Trinity

During the Angelus this Sunday, the Pope explained the doctrine on the mystery of the Holy Trinity: Three different Persons and one true God.

FRANCISCO
“Love is essentially a gift of itself, and in its original and infinite reality it is God the Father who gives himself, generating God the Son, who in turn gives himself to the Father, and his mutual love is the Holy Spirit, the bond of their unity. It is not easy to understand, but you can live this mystery. “

The Pope recalled that in the New Testament, Jesus himself reveals the mystery of the Triune God.

FRANCISCO
“Jesus has made known to us the face of God as a merciful Father; he presented himself, true man, as the Son of God and the Word of the Father, the Savior who gives his life for us; and he has spoken of the Spirit Holy that proceeds from the Father and the Son, the Spirit of Truth, the Paraclete Spirit “.

In the image of the Trinity, the Pope once again asked Catholics to cultivate unity in diversity, something essential.

Francisco recalled that this weekend three Red Cross nurses martyred in the Spanish Civil War were beatified.

FRANCISCO
“They dedicated themselves to caring for the war wounded without abandoning them in danger, they took risks and were killed out of hatred for their faith. Let us praise the Lord for their evangelical witness. A round of applause for these beatified women!”

The Pope also announced that he has summoned the Christian leaders of Lebanon to pray together for the reconstruction of the country; asked prayers for Colombia; and encouraged to always have a Gospel at hand, because it will give strength in difficult moments of life.
