Ghana’s COVID-19 death toll rises to 974

As of 19 August 2021, a total of 974 people have succumbed to the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana.
The active cases are 6,737, according to the latest figures from the Ghana Health Service.
Out of that number, 54 are critical and 139 severe.
Some 518 new cases were also confirmed within the period.
Since mid-March 2021, Ghana has recorded a total of 115,102 cases.
Of that number, 107,391 have recovered.
