Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp, paid a pastoral visit to St. Dominic Catholic Church in Mallam.
The Archbishop was warmly welcomed with a bouquet of flowers by the church community. Following the welcome, the Knights of St. John International and the Ladies Auxiliary mounted a guard of honor, which was inspected by Very Rev. Fr. Henry Ahorlu.
Mr. Eric Tsibuah, the CPC Chairperson, then delivered the welcome address to commence the program. Subsequently, Very Rev. Fr. Henry Ahorlu presented the candidate to be confirmed, who underwent questioning by the Archbishop. Following the Homily delivered by the Archbishop, the candidate received the sacrament of confirmation.
Apostle Gregory Duore, accompanied by the National President, Apostle Elizabeth Tapang-Tettey, the National Secretary, Hope Medard Zodanu, and the Deanery President, Apostle Francis Yaw Nabila, proceeded to launch the National Sacred Heart of Jesus Congress’ Golden Jubilee Celebrations and Sacred Heart of Jesus Awareness Month.
In a gesture of generosity, Mr. Lamptey, a parishioner celebrating his 70th birthday, donated thirty plastic chairs to the church. These chairs were received on behalf of the church by Mr. Samuel Ajesie, the vice chairperson.
Following the church service, staff from Depsocom, Accra, conducted interviews with parishioners to gather their thoughts and reflections.
